It might surprise many that the story this time around is just as dark, if not more morbid. Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Different Story is a spin off manga by “Hanokage” that asks what might have happened if that episode didn’t end the way it did. Many have been rightly fooled into thinking it was the stereotypical run of the mill frilly show, until many were caught off guard by the ending of the third episode. Still, those familiar with the series know of its intense drama and atmosphere, hidden behind the cute marketing of what appeared to be a typical magical girl show. Well, to be fair, the only thing Madoka and Halloween have in common is “witches.” The witches in Madoka are only called that by name. Needless to say, I’ve been very bummed out.įortunately, I have some other things planned for tonight! Like writing this very spooky review. To my horror, only one little girl knocked on my door and I couldn’t even guess her costume. The first was when I was living by myself in an apartment complex. Tonight marks my second disappointing Halloween as an adult candy giver. The leaves brustle in the trees under the dark clouds.
